The Georgia Health Information Network (GaHIN), serves with the Georgia Department of Community Health and the Georgia Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center in a public-private collaborative to establish Georgia's statewide health information exchange. With the vision of fostering a healthier Georgia through the use and exchange of electronic health information by improving patient-centered health care, increasing efficiency, and promoting the health status of the entire state population, it will eventually connect hospitals, labs, clinicians, regional HIEs, and other health care stakeholders.
GeorgiaDirect is offered as a free service, allowing providers to electronically transmit their patients' health information with other authorized clinicians they know for the purpose of treatment.
Please visit our web site at: www.gahin.org for more information. |
